the fourth secret sessions
Shenanigans continue in a+’s Secret Sessions. Our signature event’s fourth edition was exclusively for men who bonded over sake sharing by Kabuki Works’ Reuben Oh. In the office of ID Integrated, they played pool, ate burgers, and smashed cocktails while networking and making new friends. Following the sake, many stayed on to shoot the breeze and form connections while others sang karaoke.

In addition to being one of the key events of Singapore Design Week, the three-day leading trade show attracted an increasingly global audience. Visitors came from more than 80 countries, including 17 percent from nearby nations, seeking brands, trends, and business opportunities. Jointly organised by dmg events, global trade show professionals for design, construction, and hospitality trade shows, and Italy’s world-renowned exhibition company, Fiera Milano, FIND – Design Fair Asia has made Singapore a design destination.
Whisky Meadows AT THE MACALLAN
The Macallan takes guest entertainment to the next level with its latest collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney: the third Harmony Collection and the limited-edition TOGETHER Collection. As part of the launch, a+ invited guests to a pop-up along Hong Kong Street, where they were transported to the green meadows of Scotland, if only for a moment, before tasting the new Amber Meadow whisky in the Harmony Collection. Magician and a+ friend Alexander Yuen also entertained guests with his close-up mentalist and digital magic.
Cycling Extravaganza AT THE SINGAPORE CRITERIUM
It was a weekend of cycling action at Suntec City for the second Tour de France Prudential Singapore Criterium, which welcomed dozens of world-class international cyclists, several international acts, and hundreds of amateur cyclists and enthusiasts. In a nail-biting finish, professional Belgian cyclist Jasper Philipsen beat Briton Mark Cavendish and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who placed second and third, respectively. Food, drinks, and a concert by KSHMR rounded out the exhilarating two days.
GreAT GREEN RUN
The first edition of Great Green Run 2023, a mass sustainability-themed sporting event, took place along Bay East Gardens’ scenic route. The run, organised by GreenBees
and Tri-Factor and presented by CIMB, saw hundreds run for the environment. Despite the slight drizzle, the Sunday crowd was filled with joyous faces and families. There was no competitive element, but participants received a medal made sustainably in Bhutan. There were also flight tickets to Finland and Bhutan given away in a lucky draw.
