Often, the most powerful designs are the simplest. Focusing on the essentials without extraneous ornamentation, the new Rolex Perpetual 1908 is an excellent example of unrestrained elegance. Crafted in platinum, it showcases the quintessential ice blue dial emblematic of Rolex watches forged from this precious metal.
A captivating guilloché rice-grain motif adorns the dial, and the minute track is encircled by a delicately crimped filet sauté, also achieved with guilloché. A 39mm case features gently chamfered lugs and a bezel embellished with elegant fluting at the bottom and a gorgeous dome at the top. Powered by the calibre 7140, the Perpetual 1908 has been certified as a Superlative Chronometer, which guarantees exceptional performance.
Following the successful relaunch of the Tonda line, Parmigiani Fleurier now focuses on Michel Parmigiani’s inaugural creation, the Toric Collection. Inspired by Doric columns and the geometric elegance of torus, the Toric Petite Seconde and Toric Chronograph Rattrapante pay homage to the original model with its distinctive knurled bezel, while launching a new era for the watch. Equipped exclusively with manual winding movements, these modern timepieces boast gold or platinum cases with sleek, softly contoured profiles. The dials are grained, bevelled, and coloured in earthy tones inspired by Le Corbusier’s purist palette, producing a harmonious fusion of simplicity and elegance.

Grand Seiko’s latest addition to its Evolution 9 Collection epitomises refined simplicity. Available in the brand’s exclusive titanium alloy or rose gold, its dial draws inspiration from the bark of white birch trees surrounding the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. The watch introduces the new calibre 9SA4 hand-wound high-beat movement, recognised for its exceptional rate stability and resistance to external interference. The attention to detail extends to the tactile, aural, and visual aspects of winding, with the movement’s click-and-click spring designed for optimal tactile and aural experiences. Notably, the click is shaped like a wagtail, a bird symbolising Morioka, a city near the Shizukuishi studio.
With the redesigned movement, the hypnotic pecking motion of the click is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, providing a captivating visual spectacle while the watch is wound.

Cartier has introduced a modern rendition of the iconic Tortue watch as part of its coveted Cartier Privé line, marking the eighth instalment in this sought-after limited edition collection. The release includes two models: an hours and minutes version and the highly coveted Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph. Originating in 1928 and notably reinterpreted in 1998 as part of the Collection Privée Cartier Paris, the latter returns this year with updated modern features and a new movement, the manufacture’s 1928 MC calibre.

A. Lange & Söhne exemplifies how classical watchmaking meets contemporary demands with two renditions of the iconic Datograph, introduced 25 years after its debut. The white gold Datograph Up/Down with a striking blue dial, complements its platinum and pink gold counterparts. The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” showcases three grand complications: a flyback chronograph with a precisely jumping minute counter, an instantaneously switching perpetual calendar with an outsized date, and a one-minute tourbillon with stop seconds.
These complications are elegantly displayed on luminous subdials against a semi-transparent smoked dial, ensuring optimal readability.
