Since young, Santu Song had always been fond of flowers. It’s an obsession she credits to her family, who encouraged her to run wild in blossoming fields. “I like their fragrance, beautiful postures, and vitality,” says Song.
When she stands in front of an empty canvas, paint brush in hand, she thinks of those moments. In an instant, her hand meditatively whips back and forth, creating an explosion of floral colours. “The flowers in my mind are releasing their own energy, like a pipeline that runs through the spirit of the universe and my heart.”
Based in China, Song is relatively unknown in this part of the world. She’s changing that by expanding her artistic sphere, with Singapore being her first stop. The artist picked the island city because of its close connections to China, its excellent digital infrastructure, and its potential to be used as a springboard across Asia Pacific.
Beyond paintings, Song also works with sculptures and has exhibited large floral showstoppers in multiple cities across China. She’s also dabbled in homeware, creating carpets and wall decorations for those who want to add large splashes of colours in their homes.
In a dreary world, Song’s colours are a welcome respite. “Creation is a healing process. My works have a lot of flowers, colours, and plants, and I hope to use them as a channel to heal people’s hearts.”
She continues, “I wanted to be an artist because I wanted to create a world that belongs to me. It can exist in my brain as a single thought, but my aim is to make it a reality.”

That thought has blossomed in the metaverse. Song is working with Supercharge to create a Multiverse Web 3 Club that’s part of a Santu Macrocosm digital universe. Song’s fans and collectors can connect with each other, network, and explore over a shared love for art and healing.
Song says, “When many art industry practitioners, lovers, and collectors join, they can realise the link of breaking the circle of contemporary art, and collide with new creative sparks in extensive communication.”
