While numerous watchmakers boast centuries of heritage, Vacheron Constantin stands unparalleled, with a legacy spanning nearly 270 years of uninterrupted production. Since its inception in 1755, the maison has dutifully preserved a proud tradition of watchmaking excellence and stylistic sophistication, nurturing this heritage through successive generations of master craftsmen.

This legacy finds its essence distilled into the Traditionnelle collection, a testament to Vacheron Constantin’s commitment to perpetuating Genevan haute horlogerie traditions inherited from the 18th century.

“The Traditionnelle collection embodies the full measure of Vacheron Constantin’s watchmaking legitimacy”, explains the brand’s style and heritage director Christian Selmoni. “These are models steeped in history and tradition, endowed with specific stylistic codes reflecting a timeless aesthetic, regardless of the mechanical complexity involved,” he continues.

In a recent development, two new additions have joined the collection, both encapsulating the sense of technical refinement synonymous with this prestigious line. The new Traditionnelle manual-winding watches, offered in an elegant 38 mm model and a 33 mm diamond-set model, feature deep green sunburst dials that strike a powerful contrast with their pink gold cases.

The svelte 38mm variant boasts the brand’s commitment to 18th-century watchmaking heritage. It incorporates the collection’s hallmark design elements, such as the slender, stepped case middle, railway-type minutes track and Dauphine-style hands. Adding a contemporary touch is the green dial with its sunburst finish that catches the light with every subtle movement.

The watch is driven by the in-house manufactured manual-winding Calibre 4400 AS with a generous 65-hour power reserve. This refined movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, showcases the distinctive Côtes de Genève pattern that is emblematic of high watchmaking craftsmanship.

The 33mm model exhibits the same traditional watchmaking design codes while introducing an exquisitely dazzling touch in the form of a bezel that radiates with 54 round-cut diamonds. Paired with the majestic green sunburst dial, this scintillating ticker is further accentuated by a tone-on-tone alligator strap.

Powering the watch is the in-house manufactured manual-winding Calibre 1440 that boasts a 42-hour reserve.  The exceptional hand finishing of the movement, complete with the Côtes de Genève decorative pattern, is visible through the open-worked caseback, and is a testament to the brand’s technical prowess and aesthetic refinement.
