Get The Picture

In Singapore’s historic Tiong Bahru Air Raid Shelter (constructed during the 1930s and formerly a children’s playground), “99 Years” gathered nine artists from across Asia who explored life’s temporal nature through digital art and new media.

“99 Years” spearheads Small Talk, Big Ideas, our new signature series held every quarter. This is a purpose-driven platform where our community of business leaders, philanthropists, creatives, and changemakers come together to address issues that matter. Dialogue isn’t just a social lubricant for the status quo; it unleashes possibilities, forges alliances, and powers change

“99 Years” was a fascinating showcase that featured, among other works, Bianca Tse’s (Hong Kong) reimagining of her hometown as a vertical city built on borrowed time and Boedi Widjaja’s (Indonesia) reflections on ancestry and memories through bio-art and interactive DNA encoding. Friends of a+ and their guests were treated to art-food pairings (BigO), South African vintages (Wine to Share), and lager (Heineken Silver) after a special guided tour.

High Time

A week after Vacheron Constantin’s newly renovated flagship boutique at Ion Orchard opened, friends of a+ gathered there for an evening of savoir-faire and legacy. Guests got up-close looks at the Swiss manufacture’s special and iconic models in dedicated display zones, while an in-house watchmaker shared insights into the skills and techniques behind each timepiece. Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch company, founded in 1755.
