Vacheron Constantin has unveiled a suite of eight limited-edition timepieces to commemorate an extraordinary 270 years of uninterrupted watchmaking excellence, drawn from its two most emblematic collections: Traditionnelle and Patrimony.
Long regarded as the cornerstones of the maison’s creative philosophy, they provide a fitting canvas for a celebration that balances technical finesse, classical design, and artistic nuance.
The Traditionnelle line draws from the codes of classical Geneva watchmaking—stepped lugs, fluted casebacks, and sharp dauphine hands—while Patrimony, with its domed dials and ultra slim profiles, speaks in softer, more modern tones. Together, they offer a balanced portrait of Vacheron Constantin: one foot in history, the other in timeless design.

The visual anchor unifying these anniversary editions is a new dial motif inspired by the Maltese Cross, the brand’s emblem since 1880. Historically linked to a movement component that ensured even energy distribution, the Maltese Cross has evolved into a subtle hallmark of the brand’s identity.
In these new models, the motif has been rendered as a repeating geometric pattern across the dials, catching the light at different angles and offering a quiet but distinctive flourish. It is both a nod to history and a fresh aesthetic signature, imbuing each dial with a sense of movement and modernity.
Inside each anniversary model ticks a manufacture movement designed for both technical rigour and visual harmony. All eight timepieces feature sapphire crystal casebacks that reveal an elegant flourish: cote unique, an artisanal decoration that creates the illusion of seamless waves flowing across the movement bridges.
The technique, rediscovered during the 2021 reproduction of Historiques American 1921, took over 500 hours to revive, and is a perfect blend of machine precision and hand finishing, exemplifying Vacheron Constantin’s devotion to craftsmanship.
The Traditionnelle Manual-Winding, offered in both platinum and pink gold, features the calibre 4400 AS/270, with its generous 65-hour power reserve and traditional small seconds at six o’clock.
The Traditionnelle Moon Phase, encased in a diamond-set pink gold case with a mother-of-pearl dial, is powered by the calibre 1410 AS/270—an astronomical moonphase movement with remarkable accuracy, deviating by only one day every 122 years.
There is also a 33-mm manual-winding model fitted with the ultra-thin (just 2.6mm) calibre 1440/270. Its soft pink mother-of-pearl dial, adorned with the Maltese Cross motif, speaks to Vacheron Constantin’s ability to balance mechanical complexity with miniature elegance.

The Patrimony models continue this tradition of elegant refinement. The Moon Phase Retrograde Date, offered in white or pink gold, features the calibre 2460 R31L/270, combining a moonphase aperture—again accurate to 122 years—with a retrograde date display, a complication the maison has favoured since the 18th century.
Meanwhile, the Patrimony Self-Winding in pink or white gold is powered by the calibre 2450 Q6/270, displaying the time with a central sweep second hand and date aperture at 6 o’clock. Both movements are finished with the signature cote unique and equipped with openworked 22k gold rotors shaped like the Maltese Cross.
Paired with hand-stitched alligator straps and gold buckles shaped like a half Maltese Cross, the collection is a reminder of how Vacheron Constantin’s past is a living source of inspiration. Through every dial motif, movement bridge, and finishing technique, the brand celebrates not only its history but also its future, continuing a tradition of excellence that remains as vital today as it was in 1755.
