It was Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s night at the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards. In the award show’s film award categories, the Michelle Yeoh-fronted film swept up all four of the awards it was nominated for, including a much-anticipated ‘Best Actress’ win for Yeoh.
On the red carpet, there was no doubt that Yeoh was also a frontrunner in a fringed Schiaparelli dress from its spring/summer 2023 haute couture collection—an example of the night’s more-is-more dress sense that was favoured. Eddie Redmayne opted for an exaggerated bow look from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello’s autumn/winter 2023 menswear collection, while Angela Bassett wrapped herself up a Giambattista Vallie tulle creation in a highlighter yellow.
Valentino was a popular choice. The same highlighter hue by the maison was seen on Viola Davis; Andrew Garfield kept things cool and unbothered in a sleek suit. One of the stunners of the 2023 SAG Awards though, had to be Zendaya in a custom Valentino gown—a pink Marilyn Monroe-esque piece that was affixed with cascading rose appliqués.
