Trajan Jia’s illustrations are dazzlingly vibrant. His kaleidoscope of colours, shapes, and motifs hides stunning details. Originally from China, the artist now lives in London and has built a client list that includes Starbucks, Estée Lauder, and Hasbro.
To that exclusive coterie, he now adds Royal Salute. As part of the Lunar New Year celebration, the Scotch whisky maestro partnered with Jia to create a special gift pack. “For this design, I wanted to capture the spirit of this wondrous occasion and the joy of people coming together to celebrate something truly magical.

“Combining cultural symbols of the festival with the rich heritage of Royal Salute, the illustration embodies the union of two enchanting worlds,” says Jia.
An illustration of the Tower of London firing bright symbols of prosperity and success into the foreground adorns the box. It also contains a subtle dragon, colourful fish, and an owl sitting on a whisky cask. Naturally, red dominates.
Royal Salute’s iconic flagon rests inside, this time in rich ruby red, containing the signature 21-year-old blend.
