People living in Singapore are deviating from complex Korean skincare regimens, says Dr Isabelle Yeoh. The founder of IYAC aesthetic clinic at Camden Medical has observed a growing demand for options that suit sensitive skin and simplify routines.
This inspired her to launch Forest MD, a clean skincare brand that boasts multitasking products free of harsh chemicals and common irritants. “Our cleansers remove makeup while our serums provide hydration. The sleeping mask also serves as an under-eye wrinkle treatment,” she explains.
The products, she adds, were designed to accommodate the preferences of consumers in Singapore. They boast lightweight, non-sticky formulas to suit our humid climate.
Forest MD currently uses two star ingredients. First, Swiss apple stem cell extracts. Their regenerative properties promote the longevity and vitality of skin cells, reducing wrinkles and improving clarity, and their antioxidants strengthen the skin’s resilience, increasing its resistance to environmental stressors such as UV rays and pollution.
Second, tremella mushrooms, which hold more water than hyaluronic acid and keep skin hydrated and plump. They also help lighten age and sun spots.
Forest MD’s latest release is the Asta Collagen Jelly Serum, an all-in-one anti-ageing solution that acts as a firming mask, brightening treatment, eye gel, and makeup primer. With powerful ingredients like astaxanthin and niacinamide, it works to calm the skin.
Next year, the brand will launch Lightening Soothing Serum to address dark spots, melasma, and pimple scars. “The product is gentle yet powerful, making it an ideal solution for people with pigment issues who are concerned about the harshness of medicated lightening creams,” says Dr Yeoh.
She is proud that Forest MD has been certified cruelty-free by PETA, reflecting the brand’s commitment to kindness towards animals, the environment and the community. “Forest MD is not just about caring for our skin. It’s also about creating a positive impact.”
