With 13 fitness studios under her belt—nine in Thailand and four in Singapore—Benjaporn Karoonkornsakul is incontrovertibly adept at growing a business. And the founder of The Absolute Group is willing to give the game away. She candidly discloses that social media enabled her to take the brand to new heights.
“Absolute has established a powerful presence on social media platforms by sharing inspiring stories, workout tips, and other valuable content to help followers achieve their fitness goals. In providing content that educates, motivates, and entertains, we have built a loyal community eager to engage with the brand and share its message with others,” explains Karoonkorsakul, also the company’s CEO.
With the help of technology, the brand has also implemented advanced client management systems and game-changing virtual classes. But Karoonkorsakul concedes that it comes at a literal price. “It’s safe to say that the expenses were a lot less 20 years ago,” she affirms.
She adds that besides constantly upgrading equipment and curriculum, the company also tirelessly ensures that the platforms follow the latest standards to ease business flow. It does not help that the process often involves experimentation.
“There are challenges in finding the right fit for different areas of operations and I have spent years in trial and error. But there is no perfect solution. The needs, wants, expectations, and demands of the consumer never stop evolving.”
