Chopard introduces a new chapter in its iconic Ice Cube collection with two high jewellery pieces. The first high jewellery designs for Ice Cube, they blend artistic innovation with timeless elegance, reimagining a classic favourite.

The latest campaign, “Sculpted by Light”, photographed by British fashion photographer and director Charlotte Wales, showcases the new Ice Cube creations through the captivating presence of supermodel Bella Hadid. She replaces Julia Roberts as Chopard’s new global ambassador. Surrounded by an abstract urban scene with a mirrored night skyline, Hadid’s ethereal beauty contrasts with the jewellery’s radiant brilliance.

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement’s principles of simplicity and functionality, they are characterised by graphic lines, focusing on light, shape, and resilient materials. The new choker and bracelet, crafted from ethical rose gold and adorned with diamonds, offer a fresh perspective while preserving the harmonious cube design introduced by Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele in 1999.

Each cube is painstakingly shaped by hand into a relief profile reminiscent of a city skyline, imbuing the jewellery with dynamic verticality. Chopard’s mastery in jewellery design extends even further: the cubes come together in a flexible mesh that conforms to the body seamlessly.

The Ice Cube collection merges traditional craftsmanship with technical precision. While the design may seem simple, each cube’s four perfectly symmetrical edges are subtly faceted, creating numerous refraction points that amplify the jewellery’s brilliance.

Achieving precise, taut lines on such small surfaces took six years of R&D, resulting in a highly technical machining process. The diamond-tipped tool machines the precious metal with extreme accuracy, down to the hundredth of a centimetre, producing a pre-polished surface of exceptional quality. The metal is mirror polished for ultimate shine, and the diamond pavé on gem-set sections is applied exclusively by hand.
