Tudor believes that blue doesn’t have to be predictable this holiday season. The brand has introduced two pieces—the Tudor Royal and the Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue”—that take a colour every watchmaker tends to favour and push it in opposite directions.
The Tudor Royal, now available in a 28-mm version with a saturated blue dial and diamonds, makes a compelling case for a small and elegant everyday watch. In contrast, the Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue” is pure escapism in 37mm, an emblematic diving watch animated by a sun-washed turquoise blue dial and mirror-polished bezel.
TUDOR ROYAL

Tudor’s Royal line sits in the brand’s sport-chic segment, combining an integrated metal bracelet, signature bezel, and an automatic movement in a watch designed for daily wear. The latest addition is a 28-mm model offered in stainless steel or steel and yellow gold, and distinguished by a new blue dial and a diamond-set bezel.
The dial itself is further elevated with diamond-set applied hour markers and baton hands filled with Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova for legibility. It retains all the technical traits of the range: a 316L steel case, screw-down crown and caseback, and water-resistance to 100m, all covered by Tudor’s five-year transferable guarantee.
The satin-brushed and polished integrated five-link bracelet is a key part of the design, creating a continuous line from case to wrist.
BLACK BAY 54 “LAGOON BLUE”

Tudor’s Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue” takes one of the brand’s most historically faithful dive watches and gives it a lighter, summery treatment without deviating from the core design.
While the Black Bay line has always incorporated signature elements from past Tudor dive watches, the Black Bay 54 is the most faithful representation of the original. It closely resembles the 1954 Oyster Prince Submariner reference 7922 with its small crown, 200-m water resistance, unguarded case profile, and dial layout inspired by early Tudor divers.
Here, Tudor swaps the usual dark tool-watch palette for a sand-textured blue dial and a matching, mirror-polished bezel that catches light beautifully. Driving the watch is the COSC-certified manufacture-calibre MT5400 with a silicon balance spring, a variable-inertia balance secured by a traversing bridge, and a 70-hour power reserve.
The dial features the brand’s 1969 “snowflake” hands, filled with Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility. The case is fitted with Tudor’s current five-link steel bracelet, complete with a T-fit clasp that allows for tool-free micro-adjustment over an 8-mm range.
Seen together, the Tudor Royal and Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue” are two responses to the same seasonal question: how to stand out in a market already saturated with watches featuring blue dials? Tudor’s approach is to differentiate the emotion.
With the former, Tudor offers a refined timepiece in a compact size and diamond frame—ideal for dinner parties; while the latter captures the spirit of eternal summer, forever within the brand’s most iconic silhouette.
