Tiffany & Co. rolls out the summer launch of Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste with yet another stunning showcase of its high jewellery prowess. This highly anticipated release pays tribute to the boundless imagination of Jean Schlumberger and his fascination with the mysteries of the universe.
One of the most talented, entirely self-taught artists of the 20th century, Schlumberger, who was born in Alsace in 1907, began his tenure at Tiffany & Co. in 1956, establishing an unparalleled legacy in jewellery design.
Immortalised in The Tiffany Archives, his cosmic motifs and otherworldly creations serve as the main inspiration for Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste. Characterised by his inconceivably surreal and fantastical silhouettes, it is nothing short of spectacular as it reinterprets and celebrates Schlumberger’s creative genius.

The Tiffany Archives are a treasure trove of inspiration for the concepts and storytelling of the annual Blue Book collections, influencing detailed design elements, such as carved settings, magnified colours, and reimagined silhouettes. By adapting Schlumberger’s iconic expressions of the sun, moon, stars, distant galaxies, and fantasy worlds, it brilliantly unites the familiar with the unexpected.
The second Blue Book collection by Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany’s Chief Artistic Officer of Jewelry & High Jewelry, Tiffany Céleste continues to rediscover and adapt Schlumberger’s interpretations of celestial and fantastical themes. The breathtaking spring collection, which debuted earlier this year, comprised six distinct chapters named Wings, Arrow, Constellation, Iconic Star, Ray of Light, and Apollo. Three new chapters have been introduced for summer: Peacock, Shooting Star, and Flames.
“Tiffany Céleste is boundlessly imaginative and offers beautiful pieces for those seeking a cosmic presence in their personal world. It juxtaposes eye-catching shapes and visions, then transforms them into wondrous creations,” explains Verdeille.
A tribute to the mythological significance of royalty, the Peacock chapter presents creations inspired by its extraordinary iridescent plumage. While European naturalists once believed these phenomenal creatures were figments of their imagination, this magnificent bird has stirred lore and myth throughout history.
A masterful array of tanzanites, green tourmalines, and diamonds reflects the vibrant colours of the peacock’s feathers in the collection. One exceptional necklace features 17 cushion-cut tanzanites weighing more than 108 cts in total, while a captivating Peacock brooch flaunts a glorious, 13-ct cushion-cut tanzanite.
The entrancing Shooting Star chapter combines multiple archival designs by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany, uniting the classic star silhouette with billowing ribbons that echo the glittering trail of a shooting star. Among the highlights is a diamond necklace embellished with more than 78 cts of amethysts. One other astounding work depicts the phenomenon of light with diamond ribbon tails encircling giant, majestic amethysts accentuated with gold, and another with a dazzling display of diamonds.

Featuring sensational diamond-set designs, the Flames chapter draws inspiration from Schlumberger’s Flame earrings, which evoke the intense beauty of solar flares. A red carpet-worthy necklace in platinum and yellow gold flaunts over 53 cts of diamonds. In another extraordinary piece, mixed-cut diamonds measuring more than 46 cts and set to resemble flames culminate in an awe-inspiring 7-ct diamond. Additionally, a pair of Flame earrings showcase two fiery Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds weighing more than 2 cts each and surrounded by mesmerising white diamond accents.
