The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Chapter 1
The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Chapter 1

Like automobiles and mechanical watches, whiskies are fast becoming collector’s items. Makers are capitalising on this by releasing several limited-edition spirits to meet demand.

The Dalmore has been a recipient of this rising interest and continues to stoke the flames with its latest: the Cask Curation Series. It’s the whisky maker’s four-year programme featuring celebrated makers and their partnerships. The first release is The Sherry Edition, which highlights fifth-generation winery González Byass from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Master winemaker Antonio Flores and his daughter Silvia lead it today.

There are three age-statement whiskies—The 26 Year Old, The 28 Year Old, and The 43 Year Old—finished in González Byass casks and presented in a hand-crafted leather-finished travel case.

The casks are the star in this collaboration. Between the three of them, they’ve drenched González Byass wines for 80 years. The Dalmore’s master whisky makers Gregg Glass and Richard Paterson specially picked out these specific ones: a 2002 Vintage Cask No.4, a 30 Year Old Matusalem Sherry Cask, and a 30 Year Old Apostoles Sherry Cask.

Only 150 sets are available.

In 2024, the second release in the Cask Curation Series will study the influence that Port pipes have on the spirit. The third comes out in 2025 and the concluding chapter will be unveiled in 2026.
