True style isn’t just what you wear—it’s the statement you make. For 60 years, Roger Vivier‘s Belle Vivier pump has been a symbol of power worn by women who shape culture, lead industries, and redefine elegance on their own terms.

From royalty to first ladies like Nancy Reagan and Jacqueline Kennedy, Belle Vivier’s iconic buckle has graced women who walk with purpose. Today, Roger Vivier’s signature style continues to captivate modern stars like Nicole Kidman, Camille Razat, Lily Collins, and Selena Gomez, who embody the same spirit of confidence and refinement.

The Belle Vivier represents legacy and timeless style. After the festive season, we met four remarkable women who embody its spirit—each forging her own path, exuding confidence, and proving that true elegance goes beyond appearance.

YOUR goal IN 2025?

To be even more present for the people around me. I want to help my patients achieve our collective goal of living better and longer through thoughtful, long-term treatment plans. I’ll also encourage them to embrace both physical and emotional well-being as part of a balanced lifestyle for their longevity.

advice you would give to your 16-year-old self?

Believe in yourself and continue to work hard, because your hard work is coming to fruition. If you have a bold dream, I will tell you this: Keep at it, stay the course, and be consistent to see it through. Most importantly, cherish the relationships and the people who have shaped your life and supported you, as they are a big part of your journey.

What does work-life balance mean to you?

This is a trick question to ask doctors! Instead of work-life balance, we should be striving for work-life harmony or synergy. There will never be an exact 50-50 split. What matters most is being present, appreciating each moment, and knowing that your life happens in those moments.

How can women empower themselves and others?

One of the key tenets of empowerment is education and lifelong learning. Education gives you the tools to carve out your own success. Just as important are grit and resilience. Both are traits that help you change your perspective, as well as hone your ability to adapt, grow, and find strength in every experience. When the opportunity arises, be sure to lift other women up.

Learning is like having a zest for life – it never stops. Whether you’re taking a course or meeting new people at a dinner, take the opportunity to learn something new. Now that’s knowledge and empowerment too.

Finally, the gift of being present for your loved ones. Empower them with the gift of your time and presence. Your presence is the present that keeps giving.

How do you give back to your community?

Everyone can give back to the community in their own way. I am passionate about healthcare and education. Whenever the opportunity arises and when it’s within my means, I try to lend support to students. I also believe in mentorship and small acts of kindness like encouragement or just being there for somebody.

How would you describe your personal style?

Fun and edgy. I love trying on different outfits, from relaxed ensembles to polished looks with a blazer.

advice you’d give to your 16-year-old self and why?

Having fun is the right thing to do. Keep smiling and laughing. Nothing is more important than happiness.

What motivates you when the going gets tough?

This too shall pass. If something hits rock bottom, the only way is up.

What can women do to empower themselves and others?

Whether it’s men or women, we should all continue to learn as knowledge is power. As women, we should love and pamper ourselves.

How do you give back to your community?

SPCA is an organisation that’s close to my heart. Aside from monetary donation, we also sponsored their testing kits and participated in their goodie bag giveaway. All businesses, big or small, have their part to play in giving back. Every bit counts.

Ida Ng

Ida Ng
Ida Ng

Art is in Ida Ng’s blood. The Singapore-based Hong Konger is the CEO of Art Move at Helu-Trans Group, a leading art logistics company in Asia. Having worked in the Lion City since the 1990s, she’s passionate about supporting the local and regional art scene. Ng is especially drawn to abstract, photographic works by both emerging and established artists.

YOUR goal in 2025?

Continue to be an inspiration to women in the art logistics industry. It is important to see more women taking the lead in a male-dominated industry like mine.

How would you describe your personal style?

Chic and elegant, yet avant-garde. I do not believe in following trends. I collect pieces that reflect my personal taste. I also admire pieces that I envision will be timeless and classic.

What motivates you when the going gets tough?

I see things positively and I have a strong spirit, so I can endure tough times without faltering.

What does work-life balance mean to you?

If you have passion in your work, you do not need work-life balance.

What can women do to empower themselves and others?

Even the smallest action of listening can uplift others. I will lend a listening ear to friends or any woman I know, as well as talk about my own problems. Being open and receptive feels liberating and having your voice heard feels empowering.

Rebecca Eu

Rebecca Eu
Rebecca Eu

The scion of the Eu Yan Sang family, Rebecca Eu has come into her own. In 2015, Eu founded Mei’s Own, a non-profit social enterprise that works with artisans in the Philippines to create home and lifestyle products. The proceeds support opportunities for underprivileged children and survivors of sex trafficking. More recently, she launched Rinn with her husband, Kin. The sustainable jewellery brand uses lab-grown diamonds to create pieces inspired by traditional Chinese elements and everyday silhouettes.

YOUR goal in 2025?

To start a family. I’ve always known I wanted to be a mother, but I never felt ready until meeting my husband.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is a mix of casual and comfort, as well as feminine and eclectic. I like repeating staples, and occasionally mix it up with unique and statement pieces.

advice you’d give to your 16-year-old self and why?

Don’t grow up too fast. Enjoy every minute with everyone who matters to you. It’s okay not to know everything. Above all else, be kind.

What motivates you when the going gets tough?

Taking a step back to vent and process the situation really helps me. Sometimes I feel guilty for not being able to cope with so many roles, and I have to remember that’s okay. If it’s not working out, I have to change the narrative for my best interests.

How do you give back to your community?

This year, I’m focused on the Goh Chok Tong Enable Fund, which supports Singaporeans with permanent disabilities. It is my honour to help this community and I hope we can do more for them. This is my way of contributing towards a more inclusive Singapore.
