The only way to find out if your dad is actually a staycation kinda guy is to arrange one for him, and with Father’s Day just around the corner (if you’re always confused about the exact date, it falls on the third Sunday every June), there’s no better time to take advantage of the myriad dad-centred offerings than now.
A staycation with specials curated with dads in mind is the Super Dad Father’s Day Getaway package by Pullman Orchard Singapore. For one, the 28-hour experience features an early check-in at 10am and a late checkout at 2pm, so dad will get to put his feet up in the comfort of a deluxe premier room for an additional seven hours. We’ll hazard a guess and say that he’ll quite appreciate the provision of Trouble Brewing beers and a bathtub in the room.
In addition, he’ll get to attend a two-hour cocktail masterclass at the property’s Atelier Lounge. The session will be accompanied by two hours of free-flow bubbles, cocktails, wines, and mocktails, so it’s probably safe to say he’ll be pretty relaxed when he lounges at the poolside cabana at P.S.O. Beach Club after.

Also included in the promo is $50 dining credit to be used at the hotel’s Eden Restaurant. We’ve done the homework and checked out the menu—one-of-a-kind mains include the hae bee hiam Australian lamb rack and Nyonya dry rub chicken breast. Yes, this is the place to savour modern Asian delicacies, and he should try the Eden crab otak otak while at it.
Everyone loves a good excuse to lie in, so the hotel will be serving him breakfast in bed. The best part? It’s free flow service, so he can do away with the inconvenience of narrowing down options. If he wants to torch some calories after, he can head to the on-site gym. Otherwise, he can settle in again for a nap. Unless this is a luxury he can afford to do every day, we don’t imagine he’ll mind very much.
If dad really likes his tipples, you can facilitate his access to The Archive Club for an additional $70++. Club privileges include complimentary all-day non-alcoholic beverages and free-flow alcoholic beverages between the hours of 5pm and 7pm. Both hot and cold canapes will be served during the golden hour.
This sounds like a perfect getaway in the heart of Orchard for a man we owe a lot to, we reckon. Just remind him not to get used to it.
