A perfect staycation arguably includes man’s best friend. For this reason, boutique hotel brand QT Hotels & Resorts introduced its Pup Yeah! Package on International Dog Day last year.

Founded in 2011 by EVT, an Australian company that operates cinemas, hotels, restaurants, and resorts in Australia, New Zealand, and Germany, QT Hotels & Resorts launched QT Singapore on Robinson Road in 2024. It is the chain’s first property in Southeast Asia.

Pup Yeah! is available at all QT hotels, and entails a dog-friendly room with an orthopaedic dog bed, gourmet treats, and top-notch grooming amenities. A pet-friendly staycation option was a no-brainer, says Doron Whaite, General Manager of the Singapore property. “At the heart of it, QT is for everyone and that includes our four-legged guests. Petcations allow us to celebrate that spirit.”

Pet cleaning fees are included in the package to ensure no hidden costs for guests. Guests also don’t have to trouble themselves with packing along pup grub; the room service menu offers dog meals such as steak tartare with brown rice, chicken and green peas, and bacon ice cream.

QT Singapore’s dining options for people include the bar and grill restaurant Cygnet, the Art Deco-inspired Cygnet Bar, and Rooftop at QT, which offers light bites and cocktails by the pool. If you only have the time for one drink up there, the Pandan Colada is a delicious concoction of Planteray Rum 3 Stars, pandan, coconut cream, and gula melaka.

Guests can look forward to more thoughtful experiences at Rooftop at QT this year, Whaite reveals. These programmes won’t just be for people, but also for their pooches, and potential activities include a dog rave, a pet-friendly flea market, and other pet-inclusive social gatherings.

QT Singapore welcomes dogs under 25kg while larger dogs may require a pre-arrival assessment. Not that the hotel is inclined to turn away a good pup, Whaite shares. “Dogs add so much personality and joy to our hotel. It brings our spaces to life in a heartwarming way.”
