A hotel revamp isn’t just about fresh coats of paint. At The St Regis Singapore, it’s also about keeping up with today’s luxury travellers.

“Our objective was not to reinvent the hotel, but to thoughtfully evolve it,” says hotel manager Owen Cooper. The result was a sweeping multi-phase transformation completed last September.

Almost no area was left untouched. Upgrades to guest rooms include new beds, touch panels, potable water taps, and wooden flooring made from up to 50 percent recycled materials. The St Regis Spa, Yan Ting Cantonese restaurant, The Tea Room & Patisserie, the John Jacob Ballroom, and the hotel’s meeting spaces have also been refurbished. Additionally, the formerly-named Astor Bar is now The St Regis Bar Singapore.

Cooper explains that the rebranding aligns the venue more closely with the global St Regis Bar identity and introduces a more immersive, contemporary concept. Apart from a reimagined space, the bar has a brand-new cocktail menu called Time After Time, which riffs on the cultural push-and-pull between Singapore and New York across the de

The newly-opened Sophia Italian restaurant is now a centrepiece of the hotel’s refreshed dining offerings, showcasing flavours from 11 regions across Italy along with a wine programme featuring 70 labels.

The makeover runs deeper than the interiors. Drawing on the hotel’s proximity to Singapore Botanic Gardens, the redesign comprises botanical motifs, organic textures, and nature-led colours. “The goal is to help guests feel rooted to the surroundings, not just checked in. “It’s elevated, yet deeply rooted in Singapore’s Garden City reputation,” Cooper says.

The St Regis Singapore is also sharpening its experiential programming to deepen guest engagement beyond the room stay. The St Regis Bar Singapore will host a zero-waste Bloody Mary cocktail masterclass while Sophia will introduce bi-monthly wine pairing dinners with award-winning producers.

In addition, live performances, DJ sets, and late-night social energy are part of Jack’s Club, a monthly jazz night that celebrates the St Regis brand’s longstanding love affair with music.

“We are elevating the overall guest journey while maintaining the timeless residential elegance that defines the St Regis experience,” Cooper says.
