Everyone’s favourite South-east Asian island is welcoming yet another holiday destination. In contrast to the plethora of luxury havens that have mushroomed in Bali, Nuanu Creative City promises to be the epicentre of creativity, art, culture, and innovation. The spaces dedicated to education, wellness, entertainment, and everything else in this creative destination are part of an integrated ecosystem. Sergey Solonin, the founder of Nuanu, tells us more about this captivating new location that spans 44ha along the coastline of Tabanan.

You could have chosen any island in the world for this. Why Bali?
I have always found peace of mind in Bali. This island also holds a unique allure that resonates with our values and vision for Nuanu. Its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking natural beauty, and vibrant artistic community make it an ideal location to build a creative city.
Choosing this island to build Nuanu is both a personal and business decision. I see myself spending more time in Bali in the future and I believe Nuanu’s contribution to the location will make it one of the must-visit destinations for those seeking a meaningful and enriching journey.
There are dozens of resorts in Bali. In what way will Nuanu stand out from the crowd?
A comparison between Nuanu and a traditional resort would not only be inaccurate but would also misrepresent our core values and mission. Our approach goes beyond the conventional boundaries of hospitality that focus solely on leisure and relaxation. We offer an immersive experience where guests become active participants in a vibrant community of creators, leaders, and changemakers.
Nuanu’s ethos is about collaboration and co-creation, fostering innovation and creativity through state-of-the-art facilities and spaces that motivate collaboration and experimentation. From unique art installations and cultural programmes to innovative co-working and communal spaces, every facet of Nuanu is designed to spark creativity and foster meaningful connections.

What are your favourite features of Nuanu Creative City?
I am deeply passionate about education and the integration of art and technology at Nuanu. Education has always been a focal point for me, which is reflected in my investments in the education sector. That’s one of the reasons why our school ProEd Global Campus opened in Nuanu as one of the first projects. Daniel Popper, Alexander Milov and Arthur Mamou-Mani’s innovative art installations are also several of Nuanu’s key landmarks and some of my favourite examples of our commitment to creativity, progress, and immersive experiences.
Tell me more about the school.
Incorporating a school within Nuanu stems not only from my interest in education but also from our belief in lifelong learning and holistic development. The ProEd Global School is an international educational institution committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment. Our focus goes beyond academic excellence. We prioritise character development, global awareness, and the cultivation of critical thinking skills.
Through our innovative curriculum, dedicated faculty, and beautiful campuses, we ensure that students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
Besides producing academically proficient students, we strive to create compassionate, resilient, and socially responsible individuals.
