Nomos Glashütte has fitted, for the first time, its ultra-slim self-winding movement in a refined 38.5 mm wristwatch. The new Ahoi neomatik 38 date proudly features the extra-thin Nomos automatic calibre neomatik date DUW 6101. Since its debut in 2018, the DUW 6101 has driven notable watches such as the Autobahn neomatik 41 date and Tangente neomatik 41 Update, each boasting cases exceeding 40 mm. However, the slender profile of the DUW 6101 prompted Nomos Glashütte to expedite the creation of a more classically proportioned watch.

To ensure a perfect fit, the date ring had to be resized to suit the proportions of the new Ahoi neomatik 38 date. All other commendable features of the DUW 6101 are retained, including bidirectional rapid date adjustment, the Nomos swing system escapement and swift midnight date switching. Notably, the watch maintains its slim profile of just 9.9 mm, whilst boasting a water resistance of 200 m.
