From Down Under
Goldfield & Banks makes its Singapore debut exclusively at Amaris. The Australian-based brand — touted as Australia’s first luxury fragrance brand — takes inspiration from the expansive natural landscape and botanical rarities of the continent. Sunset Hour is its latest concoction. It uses the quandong — a desert peach native to the central deserts and southern Australia — that is part of the sandalwood family. The result is a cocktail of citrus and spicy notes (thanks to pink pepper) built around a soft woody body.
After the rain

Maison Margiela’s flagship Replica series of fragrances continues with When the Rain Stops. Like the rest of the fragrances in the series that replicate specific memories, When the Rain Stops captures the sensations following a rain shower on a spring day. It is a combination of a woody and aquatic notes, opening with pink pepper and rose petal essence before kicking in with patchouli Bali essence, pine needle and a unique aquatic accord. When the Rain Stops is also the line’s most sustainable fragrance to date.
An exclusive re-edition

If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. For Dior’s perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian, there’s always room to take things to the next level. He reintroduces three Dior signatures — Eau Noire, Cologne Blanche, and Bois d’Argent — and repackages them into a limited series boxset. Each fragrance has been updated to feature their natural colours in all their glory, while retaining the quality and the spirit of the originals.
