Men’s fashion has certainly evolved over the decades. What we now term as ‘menswear’ is a far cry from the more traditional notions of the word. Yet, there are semblances of elements and foundational design constructs that make it familiar still.

But how does that evolution look like?

In partnership with the National Museum of Singapore, key menswear moments from the aughts to current day (donated by a number of fashion collectors) are forever immortalised in our National Collection — a glimpse into how menswear has changed over the decades. Innovation, self-expression and playfulness imbue the pieces highlighted and chart the ongoing evolution in men’s fashion.
