Watches of Switzerland APAC, the proprietor of fine watches based in Singapore, has proudly introduced an unprecedented creative collaboration. This unique partnership involves Swiss watch brand Louis Erard and the imaginative design house seconde/seconde/.
The resulting timepiece, named the Louis Erard x Watches of Switzerland x seconde/seconde/ Excellence Long-Awaited Email Grand Feu, is a special iteration of Louis Erard’s Excellence Émail Grand Feu. While Louis Erard has collaborated with seconde/seconde/ in the past, this marks the first involvement of Watches of Switzerland in such a venture.

Limited to just 99 pieces, the watch features a discreet 39mm stainless steel case with a domed crystal covering its dial. The beige enamel dial is meticulously crafted by the renowned enamel dial producer, Donzé Cadrans, located in Le Locle—an enamelling specialist workshop with over half a century of heritage and expertise.
The handmade process involves a skilled artisan delicately applying vitreous powder on bare metal dial bases, followed by expert firing at high temperatures in a dedicated kiln. This seemingly straightforward process is repeated multiple times to achieve the final product, with multiple layers exhibiting a consistent colour and flawless surfaces.
The green hour markers and all dial prints are achieved through transfer printing with enamel. The hands featured on the watch face are Louis Erard’s distinctive fir tree-type hands. However, a unique and unexpected detail awaits us when we observe the small running seconds subdial. Instead of a traditional seconds hand, the watch features a green and white hourglass that completes a revolution every 60 seconds.

This playful addition is seconde/seconde/’s distinctive contribution to the collaboration, presented in their typical 8-bit icon drawing style. Interestingly, this motif also subtly acknowledges Watches of Switzerland APAC’s parent company, The Hour Glass.
Flipping the timepiece reveals a captivating view of the self-winding Sellita SW261-1 calibre. This movement facilitates the hour, minute, and seconds indications on the dial side, with the ability to store up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The Louis Erard x Watches of Switzerland x seconde/seconde/ Excellence Long-Awaited Email Grand Feu is available for purchase at all Watches of Switzerland Singapore boutiques.
