Boucheron

Boucheron’s new 18-piece high jewellery collection Histoire de Style, Like a Queen, is inspired by Queen Elizabeth’s treasured Boucheron aquamarine and diamond double clip brooch. It was presented to her when she turned 18 in 1944, and she wore it throughout her life, most recently on the 70th anniversary of her coronation on February 6, 2022. With the help of creative director Claire Choisne, the Art Deco-styled clip is transformed into numerous dazzling and contemporary interpretations: a trio of earrings, a sculptural cuff, voluminous rings, brooches that double as hair clips, and even a necklace that can be worn in six different configurations.

Cartier

Tutti Sota necklace in ruby beads with diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds, from Cartier.

Following the unveiling of Cartier’s Beautés du Monde collection in 2022, a new chapter continues to be inspired by the Cartier brothers’ travels to the four corners of the world. A balance of shapes, colours, and textures can be seen in Beautés du Monde Chapter 3 in the Obi necklace with cabochon emeralds juxtaposed against calibrated rubies and geometrical motifs in diamonds and onyx, and the Ocelle necklace featuring diamond-set plumage and vibrantly textured opals. One of the most stunning pieces in the collection is the Tutti Sota necklace (pictured), which combines ruby beads with diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds in a majestic garland.

Chopard

In Chopard’s new high jewellery collection, which celebrates the beauty of natural stones, rare- coloured diamonds, sapphires, and exceptional Paraiba tourmalines take centre stage. Among them, the most impressive are two oval-cut vivid yellow Ceylon sapphires weighing 151.19 and 127.70 cts respectively, a 26.70-ct royal blue Sri Lankan sapphire and a trio of Dresden green diamonds. Although the destinies of these stones have yet to be forged, the Swiss jeweller also took the opportunity to present a few new designs, including a necklace made of rose gold, diamonds, and pink sapphire motifs inspired by the lace collars of 17th-century courtiers’ dresses.

Dior

Never has high jewellery looked so fashionably chic than in the hands of Victoire de Castellane, Dior’s Creative Director of Fine Jewelry of more than 20 years. A grand 77 jewellery pieces, made from gold and gemstones, mold to the body like lace in Dearest Dior. Almost invisible settings enhance the beauty of the gemstones against the skin, while the goldsmithing is exquisite, composed of remarkably flexible mesh sheets that drape like delicate fabrics. The collection includes asymmetrical earrings, chic chokers, and a ruby-set pendant that also serves as a brooch.

Graff

50-ct D Flawless oval diamond necklace with 100 cts of pear-shaped, emerald-cuts, ovals, rounds, and baguette diamonds, from Graff.

Among a selection of blindingly brilliant high jewellery creations unveiled by Graff at the Paris Couture week in January was this showstopper: a necklace featuring a 50-ct D Flawless oval diamond surrounded by 100 cts of pear-shaped, emerald-cuts, ovals, rounds, and baguette diamonds. It took a lot of thought, research, and planning to design a necklace befitting a diamond of such strength and gravitas. Graff’s master artisans decided on a graphic frame of emerald- cut diamonds and radiating rows of calibre-cut diamonds to create the illusion of floating. Under the centre stone is a multilayered fringe of oval and pear-shaped diamonds, complemented by a diamond chain set with graduating stones.

Gucci

In its third chapter, Gucci’s Hortus Deliciarum high jewellery collection continues to draw inspiration from exotic destinations, magical worlds, and mythical beasts. In addition to necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and multi-finger rings, the collection highlights the brand’s painterly approach to high jewellery. An extravagant white gold necklace adorned with diamond-set stars and delicate diamond bows is among the most eye-catching pieces. Matching earrings feature two teardrop diamonds weighing 16.7 cts.
