For over a century, nature, light, geometry, and cross-cultural elements have influenced Cartier’s high jewellery designs. It has successfully captured the essence of the wild by using precious metals and gemstones, harnessing the dance of light within gemstones, blending symmetry with innovation and geometric finesse, and weaving cultural inspirations into its designs, creating jewellery that resonates with global influences.
In a bold stride, the house expands on these stylistic themes this year by introducing a new high jewellery collection, Le Voyage Recommencé, with approximately 80 unique designs that explore Cartier’s expertise and artistic prowess.
Jacqueline Karachi, director of high jewellery creation at Cartier, articulates, “This collection is a great opportunity to delve into the essential themes of the Cartier style. To explore them in greater depth, take a fresh look at them, nurtured by the spirit of the time, approaching them with a contemporary eye to go further. [It is] a journey back to the heart of Cartier creation, an uninterrupted story being told over time.”
1. Panthère Givrée necklace
Artistry blends realism and abstraction in the Panthère Givrée necklace. The panther’s lifelike visage, complete with emerald eyes and an onyx-spotted coat, harmonises with pixelated geometry. In this masterpiece, three vivid aquamarines totalling 20.33 cts stand out against a captivating chromatic interplay of diamonds, lapis lazuli, and smaller aquamarine
2. Ondule ring

For Cartier, the journey always begins with the gemstones. A unique grey-violet 0.92-ct diamond is incorporated into a vortex of light surrounded by relief and volume, while half-moon diamonds emanate a mysterious radiance that transforms its appearance and brilliance.
3. Claustra necklace

Featuring an outstanding collection of shield-cut diamonds, the Claustra necklace boasts a 4.02-ct marvel at its core. Onyx and diamonds, a pairing that is unmistakably Cartier, blend in a visual symphony amid a labyrinth of fragmented lines. Elegantly transforming into two necklaces, it is a testament to the maison’s legacy.
4. Girih necklace

A creation that embodies wanderlust, the Girih necklace evokes the intricate style of Islamic art, a cornerstone of Cartier’s style. Zambian emeralds and bespoke-cut turquoises amplify the chromatic resonance of graphic precision, lines, and motifs. The pendant’s detachability adds versatility, allowing it to be worn as a brooch.
5. SAMA Necklace

Unfolding around a resplendent 19.27-carat Ceylon sapphire, the Sama necklace is a visual masterpiece inspired by whirling dervish attire. Its intricate design, evoking motion with graceful curves and light-catching arabesques, was meticulously crafted using Computer Aided Design. The central motif integrates subtle articulations, ensuring close contact with the skin.
