Aigner does subtlety exceptionally well. For more than 50 years the German luxury brand with its iconic horseshoe logo, knows how to combine craftsmanship with highest quality and timeless design. The logo can be found on its products in various sizes — sometimes prominent, sometimes more subtle like on the brand’s signature Cybill bag with an incredibly structured top-handle.
Progress, the brand’s autumn/winter 2022 collection, reinforces this position. Despite its name, it celebrates aesthetic freedom, dynamism, and strength. It’s elegant without being overly classical, casual yet not too sporty, and trendy without being tethered to trends. This season, the Cybill is reimagined with glitter particles added to the patent croc print — a subtle mark of luxury.
In the spirit of Aigner’s tradition of structured minimalism, the Delia series takes it a notch higher with a nod to the 1990s aesthetic. Sleek lines set against sustainably produced smooth leather dominate the range.
While the the roomy totes have received a stylish upgrade with the horseshoe interpreted as hardware straps, the Delia hobo bags are effortless companions regardless of outfit. The Filo, on the other hand, demonstrates fluid finesse, keeping a stable base while adding soft volume and ruffled details to the top. It fits comfortably under the arm but has a longer strap which means it can also double as a crossbody.
If progress means that a brand like Aigner sticks to its guns while inventing new ways to remain elegant, we’re all for it.
