Building A New Generation Of Entrepreneurs
Young Founders School Gala Dinner
August ended on a high note for Young Founders School (YFS), established in 2016 by Billy Naveed and Crispian Farrow to provide entrepreneurship education to students aged 11 to 18.
Its inaugural gala dinner on 31 August at The Singapore Edition hotel included inspiring stories, captivating performances, and exciting auction items. The money raised will support underprivileged Asian students through YFS programmes and internships. All this will also help Billy and his team reach their goal of impacting one million youth worldwide.
“We believe that entrepreneurship has the power to change lives,” as the gala programme booklet shouted.
Following the opening speeches by Farrow and YFS CEO Chris Geary, Gene Yu, CEO and Founder of cybersecurity solutions provider BlackPanda, shared how nurturing young entrepreneurs is crucial to creating a safer future for everyone. Later, Kay Lam Wong made an investment pitch for his startup Ayres Studios.
Also generating buzz was the auction and its attractive catalogue, which included resort getaways, personal training sessions, and heritage guitars. An invite-only affair, the YFS Gala Dinner raised $485,000.

Tiffany & Co. x a+
“Details make perfection, and perfection is not a detail,” Leonardo da Vinci once said. We reckon the venerated Italian artist and scientist would have been delighted by the beautiful jewellery at our private styling session for a+ friends and fans.
The event was hosted by Tiffany & Co. at its Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands store and led by a+ Editor-in-Chief Candice Chan and Fashion Director Chia Wei Choong.
All eyes were on the highlights from the well-loved American jeweller’s Knot, Lock and Icons collections.
Together, these creations embody the spirit of love, reminding guests of the strong bond it fosters and the memorable moments that make life more meaningful. It wasn’t just about admiring these trinkets on professional models; very soon, everyone was trying on rings, necklaces, and bracelets.
In addition, we shared and exchanged style tips, stacked and mixed pieces across collections, and created a variety of looks. Take a look at these snaps before your next visit to Tiffany & Co.
