Van Cleef & Arpels has enriched its Perlée collection with yellow, rose, and white gold rings that showcase the maison’s iconic bead motif. A three-row design on each band gracefully curves around the finger, adorned with diamonds and coloured gemstones that play with light and movement, brightening every moment.
Although Perlée only launched in 2008, these precious spheres have been a part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ creative vernacular since the 1940s. They have appeared in abstract compositions (Couscous), eye-catching combinations (Twist), and structured volumes (Alhambra). Meticulously crafted using the lost-wax casting technique, the golden beads are hand-calibrated for precise roundness and polished to optimise luminosity.
In this new line-up, the golden beads are accentuated by a diagonal line of nine round diamonds. These are graded D to F for colour and IF to VVS for clarity, and have undergone the maison’s rigorous quality-control process. While diamonds provide shine, coloured gemstones add richness. The natural radiance of sapphires and emeralds enhances the regal allure of yellow gold; in contrast, the fiery intensity of rubies complements the elegance of rose gold.
Perlée’s new three-row rings build on the five-row of 2022. These feature the nail setting—requiring exceptional artisanal precision—which places the diamonds or gemstones directly alongside one another. To accentuate the brilliance, a honeycomb openwork on the reverse allows light to pass through the stones.
