Gift shopping for a whisky lover this Christmas can involve some tough decisions. In a world as complex as whisky, some like it sweet while others fancy theirs smoky with a distinctive peat. But here’s the wonderful news: there’s a flavour profile to suit even the fussiest drinker.

The award-winning Highland Park single malt whisky makes festive gifting both effortless (for you) and enjoyable (for you and for the recipient). A beautiful addition to the bar cart, the Orkney whisky is crafted with heathered peat for a subtly smoky flavour.

Highland Park’s New Look For The Season

Founded 226 years ago in Orkney, an archipelago off the northeastern coast of Scotland, Highland Park is renowned for its craft heritage.

The warm waters of the gulf stream create a temperate climate that’s ideal for the long ageing of whisky. Orkney’s windy weather makes it difficult for trees to grow, hence the peat is infused with floral heather rather than woody roots. What results is a whisky with a subtle hint of aromatic smoke that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.

Just in time for the festive season, Highland Park debuts a new packaging inspired by Orkney’s luminous sky and invigorating climate. Its vibrant colour palette draws on the unique flavour profile of Orkney peat smoke, with heather-flecked labels that bear the refreshed Highland Park logo.

A subtle wood-grain motif pays homage to the distillery’s use of the finest sherry-seasoned oak casks, while the redesigned glass bottle highlights the whisky’s natural hue and proudly displays a “Product of Orkney” emblem etched into the glass.

Highland Park’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the 100 percent recyclable cardboard cartons responsibly sourced from FSC-certified forests. Highland Park’s new packaging is available across the global travel retail exclusive editions of 14-, 16- and 18-year-old whiskies.

18-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky

Highland Park 18 Year Old stands as the distillery’s crown jewel. It’s hailed as Best Spirit in the World by American whisky expert F Paul Pacult—and for good reason. It is intensely fruity with a delicious blend of baked cherries, salted honeycomb, orange zest, and heathered peat smoke.

The Highland Park 18-Year-Old Single Malt whisky, priced at $255, is available to purchase at 1855 The Bottle Shop.
