Since establishing his company in the latter part of the 1980s, shoe designer Jimmy Choo has had a major impact on fashion culture and trends. The brand’s shoes have been seen on the feet of celebrities and socialites and appeared in several TV shows and movies, including The Devil Wears Prada, House of Cards, and Sex and the City. a+ guests got first dibs on the Spring collection, which features sculptural silhouettes, bold graphics, and colour contrasts, at the Marina Bay Sands boutique. They also got a glimpse of the new “Cinderella”, fully encrusted with 12,938 Swarovski crystals and featuring a hand-embroidered heart-shaped crystal cluster. Each guest also brought home a lovely arrangement of fresh spring flowers in various shades of blue.

Over 45,000 visitors traipsed through the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre over one January weekend to view stunning art and mingle with galleries and collectors. The second edition of ART SG also welcomed 114 participating galleries from 33 countries, many of whom reported strong sales. Highlights include a work by Anselm Kiefer that sold for over a million Euros, while the Sundaram Tangore Gallery managed to move several pieces for a combined total of over US$1 million. Co-founder of ART SG Magnus Renfrew says, “This year has shown once again that ART SG is able to both burnish and support Singapore’s increasingly influential role as a hub for the Indo Pacific’s growing art market and its world-class visual art ecosystems.”
Taming The Bull with Lamborghini
Lamborghini organised an informal test drive for guests of a+, giving them a chance to experience the Urus S, regarded as one of the best in the super SUV class. Additionally, several guests had the opportunity to test drive the Huracan STO. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed champagne and canapés, and created their own scent with Maison 21G. From supercars to super scents, all had a great time despite the pouring rain.
Tropical Golf with Evergreen Group Holdings & Holistic Wealth Group
Singapore-based Evergreen Group Holdings and its Malaysian wealth management partner, Holistic Wealth Group, organised a golf tournament at the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort for their clients and friends. The event was attended by Korean professional golfer Jang Ha-Na, who won the 2016 HSBC Women’s Champions event.
