Chanel’s Eclat Premier La Mousse facial cleanser drops in time for Singapore’s hot-wet-hot season. All this heat and humidity can wreak havoc on our skin, as sebum production go into overdrive, which causes pores to become clogged and exacerbates breakouts.
There’s a lot going on—moisturiser, SPF, and waterproof-everything else—apart from all that grease, grime, and environmental pollutants that can trigger allergies. Cleansing is non-negotiable, and a good cleanser ensures half your battle won.
Chanel Eclat Premier La Mousse not only cleanses but promises to brighten your skin in seven days too. One of its key ingredients is ylang-ylang flower extract, which also appears in the brand’s alluring No. 5 perfume. Hand-harvested in Chanel’s open-sky laboratory in Madagascar, it is prized for its anti-inflammatory properties. The other goodie is niacinamide (#iykyk).

Science Behind The Experience
Drawing on more than 30 years of studies on women across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the US, Chanel Research developed its Éclat Premier skincare and makeup collection to combat dullness and restore radiance.
“We can’t talk about radiance without mentioning light, the core element of the Chanel look,” says Nathalie Volpe, Head of International Research, Innovation and Development. “Light creates shadows and contrasts; it catches the eye and contributes to how youthful we appear. Radiance is the product of light interacting with the skin.”
After analysing clinical, photographic, and biophysical data, as well as examining lifestyle and environmental factors, Chanel’s researchers concluded: our skin appears radiant only when light reflects harmoniously off its surface. In short, it must be flawless—no dark spots, redness, and/or enlarged pores—and smooth to maintain that.

Even if you’re more into the experience than the science, Chanel Eclat Premier La Mousse is great news. As soon as it comes in contact with water, its rich, creamy formula transforms into a smooth, generous lather. My skin didn’t just look brighter, but felt fresher and softer as well. It left me so confident/complacent, I skipped micellar water.
Chanel Eclat Premier also comprises Bright Milky Essence, Concealer Stick, and La Base and La Base Legere Brightening And Correcting Makeup Bases.
