One thing’s clear with the Celine Haute Parfumerie collection: it’s not merely about scents and fragrances. Artistic, creative and image director Hedi Slimane has crafted the collection based around his olfactive journal, heightened with refined sensorial gestures.
For instance, Slimane recalls enjoying the act of scenting baths with eau de colognes as well as perfuming linens. He calls these habits “reassuring” as they collectively felt like a form of protection that’s pure to him.
These gestures may not exactly be apparent in the first and second chapters of the Celine Haute Parfumerie collection—the debut fragrances, followed by candles. They’re more pronounced in the latest release of perfumed objects that expand the house’s universe of scents even more.
Celine has released perfumed papers scented with the collection’s Parade fragrance, a musky and powdery cologne that’s mixed in with neroli and bergamot. Each set of perfumed papers comes with 15 white sheets that are each embossed with the Celine Triomphe pattern. The idea is that each sheet can be kept in a drawer or wardrobe to lightly scent the entire space and its contents with Parade. Once placed, each sheet is designed to diffuse the scent for at least a year.
And while the idea of using just one sheet to scent a wardrobe of something as temporary as a hotel room or suite may seem decadent, the perfumed papers are incredibly easy to always be kept handy in a travel kit—just so that it feels (and smells) a bit more of home. Of course, there’s no reason why a used sheet can’t be reused; just ensure that it’s kept separate from the unused set.
For a more versatile, travel-friendly option, there are the travel sprays. Now available in black and ivory cases, each travel spray comes with two 15ml fragrances of choice from the complete Celine Haute Parfumerie collection. Use it as a personal fragrance or as Slimane would, by scenting whatever that keeps you feel calm and collected.
In true luxury fashion—who doesn’t love added touches of luxury—there are also a number of cases to further dress the travel sprays. They’re available in either smooth calfskin or a combination of both Triomphe canvas and calfskin.
