Being able to articulate yourself is a vital aspect of successful leadership. Leaders must clearly express their vision, objectives and expectations while actively listening to team members’ feedback and ideas.
As I look to take Tribe Accelerator, Singapore’s first government-backed blockchain accelerator, to new heights, clear and open communication has helped me build trust and thereby, drive effective change. I value having honest dialogue as a great way to strengthen the trust of my team.
Embodying the spirit of continuous learning is something I believe is essential in an ever-changing tech landscape, and highly important to practice as a leader. Accelerating new learnings in emerging technologies and staying ahead of trends has helped me make informed decisions when leading the team and seeking new opportunities for the accelerator. This has in turn also helped Tribe Accelerator to remain relevant and establish its presence in the blockchain space.
It thrills me to learn something new daily, delving into innovations and unexplored areas with the startups we support. The blockchain industry has enormous potential to solve real-life problems, and my pursuit of knowledge helps keep me on my toes.
I also try to surround myself with my tribe. Building a strategic network of peers and mentors can be incredibly empowering. This network has provided me with guidance, advice and support as I navigated my career, and built confidence and resilience as I transitioned into a completely new professional space.
